6 weeks through 15 months. When your child is ready, they move up to our toddler room without changing centers.

Do you accept CCAP for infant care?

Yes. Windy City Academy is an approved CCAP provider for all programs, including infants. Many families pay little or nothing out of pocket. Call (708) 843-3358 and we'll help you check your eligibility.

Will my baby have the same teacher every day?

Yes. Our staff members are assigned to their own classrooms, so your baby sees familiar faces daily. Changes are typically only made when we're short-staffed or a teacher is on vacation or otherwise unavailable.

Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Leaving your baby with someone else for the first time is hard. We built our infant program for exactly that moment. A safe, loving space where your baby receives individualized care, with a focus on building trust, healthy routines, and early sensory exploration. We follow your feeding and nap schedule from home, and we tell you how the day went, every day.

What your baby's day looks like

Babies don't follow a class schedule, so we don't force one. Your child eats when they're hungry and sleeps when they're tired. Between those, teachers work in plenty of tummy time, songs and talking (narrating the day builds language months before first words), texture and sound exploration, and cuddling. Lots of cuddling.

The practical details

We're open Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, which covers most early shifts and commutes into the city.

Our infant rooms run at 1 teacher to 4 infants.

Parents provide diapers, formula, and bottle milk. Once your baby starts solids, we provide their food.

We use Brightwheel to keep families connected throughout the day, with real-time updates on activities, meals, nap times, learning experiences, and your child's overall daily routine.

Meals

As a CACFP-participating childcare center, we provide nutritious, well-balanced meals and snacks that follow USDA/CACFP meal pattern requirements.

Tuition support may cover this program.

Infant care is the most expensive age group anywhere. If you work, go to school, or are in job training, CCAP may cover most or all of your tuition.
